The skipper of the Uruguayan team, Luis Suarez has come out to explain why beating Ghana for the second time at the ongoing World Cup was his topmost priority.
According to Suarez, he is clearly aware he will be turning 35 a year after the 2022 World Cup and that would mean he will be leaving the tournament without a win if they failed to beat Ghana.
Speaking in a recent post-match interview monitored by Tapnewsgh, the Uruguayan star player said though his team failed to make it to the knockout stages, it will have broken his heart if his son watched his final World Cup performance without seeing his father’s team win a single game before retirement.
Per his narration, it was one major reason why he was bent on pulling strings together to ensure Uruguay beats Ghana in their final group H game.
