Bawumia Says He Will Be Contesting For The NPP In The 2024 Presidential Polls
Vice President of the republic of Ghana Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, has confirmed he would be running for the 2024 presidential election, if his predecessor Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ends his presidential tenure.
The Vice President has relished the opportunity to lead the governing New Patriotic Party as a flagbearer when it’s time for the 2024 presidential polls.
The Vice President confirmed the long-held rumours in some political circles, in a meeting with a group from the Ashanti Region, when they came to Accra a couple of weeks ago.
According to media reports, when the group first came to Accra, they were denied the opportunity to meet the Vice President.
Afterwards, Bawumia invited them to meet with him.
At the moment, members of the group are very excited for the opportunity they were granted.
Bawumia in an address to the group, made it clear he will run for the 2024 presidency.
