Black Stars Off To South Africa For Upcoming AFCON Qualifiers
Ghana’s Black Stars will leave Accra for Johannesburg today, 23 March 2021 to get ready for the match day five AFCON qualifier against South Africa.
Twenty Black Stars players are currently in camped in Accra with six others expected to join the squad from Europe.
Baba Abdul Rahman, Mohammed Kudus, Osman Bukari, Nicholas Opoku, Emmanuel Lomotey and Kwasi Okyere Wriedt joined the team on Monday.
Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori will equally be joining his colleagues in South Africa’s capital Johannesburg, on Tuesday night, according to the Ghana Football Association.
Skipper Andre Ayew, forward Jordan Ayew and midfielder Thomas Partey who will not be part of the squad moving to South Africa, will join the team later for the final AfCON qualification game against São Tomé and Príncipe.
Ghana will be facing the South African national team on Thursday 25 March 2021, in Johannesburg, before playing their final game against São Tomé and Príncipe in Accra.
