A well recognized Ghanaian sports analyst identified as Atta Poku has stated that, Thomas Partey’s performance in Ghana’s Black Stars matches suddenly improves the moment Dede Ayew is brought out of the game.
According to him, there is some form of spìrìtual rivalry between the two players and that is one major reason why Partey fails to shine whenever the captain of the team is playing.
He cited examples with previous matches played by the team while laying emphasis on the performance of Partey after Dede Ayew’s substitution.
He concluded by saying there is some form of play discrepancies that are causing such unusual situations to happen resulting in the dwindling of Thomas Partey when it comes to excellent tactical ability exhibited by the player at the national level.
