A Ghanaian economist named Prof. Quartey has stated that he is optimistic of the performance of the cedi against the dollar and other well noted foreign currencies in the oncoming days.
He stated that the appreciation of the cedi is highly probable inferring from the level at which the Government of Ghana has gone with ensuring the local is stabilized to an appreciable state.
Adding to this, he predicted that, the cedi will witness a positive transformation given the specific measures instituted by the sitting government as a means of tackling the consistent rate of inflation and depreciation of the cedi.
He indicated that he is aware the cedi has been under pressure over the past few months but the situation seem to be turning into a different scenario looking at the cumulative gains identified as the dollar is being traded to the cedi in recent times.
