Checkout The Last African Team That Is Yet To Qualify For The 2022 AFCON Tournament
We all know the Africa Cup of Nations tournament will take place in Cameroon early next year.
The Confederation of African Football will provide a draw to place the 24 qualified teams into six groups later this year, to ensure every team knows which opponent it will be facing when the upcoming tournament is staged.

At the moment, the African teams that have successfully booked a place in next year’s tournament are Burkina Faso, Algeria, the host Cameroon, Cape Verde, Comoros, the Pharaohs of Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and the elephants of the Ivory Coast.
Other teams that will be joining the AFCON race include Mali, Mauritania, Malawi, Morocco, the super eagles of Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, Tunisia and Zimbabwe.

The number of teams expected to compete in the upcoming AFCON tournament have been confirmed except for one last team.
The last slot is reserved for either Sierra Leone or Benin, whose fixture was scheduled to be played in the capital city of Sierra Leone, but did not take place, due to the challenged Covid-19 results after five key players from the team tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease.

The regulatory body of CAF clearly indicated that the match had been rescheduled for the period of May 31 to June 15.
This leaves us with one last slot to be occupied by one lucky African team.

The team that is yet to qualify happens to be the winner of the upcoming match fixture.
