Coach Christopher Nimley has stated that Dede Ayew’s decision to take Ghana’s penalty against Uruguay wasn’t a bad idea but from all indications, we could tell he lacked power and precision.
In a recent interview monitored by Tapnewsgh, Coach Nimley said anytime Dede opted for Jordan Ayew to take a penalty when he was on the pitch, it was basically because he didn’t feel like taking it.
However, his decision to take yesterday’s penalty shows he was confident about scoring that spot kick but his inability to add power to his strike made it difficult for him to make it count for Ghana.
According to Christopher Nimley, Dede Ayew has been recognized as Ghana’s best penalty taker after Asamoah Gyan took decision to stay away from penalty taking.
Divergent to this fact, he felt the player had it wrong against Uruguay because of his inability to strike the ball with power and energy.
