Defence Minister Hints On The Acquisition Of A New Presidential Jet


The Minister of Defense, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul has indicated that, the government of Ghana is planning on purchasing a new aircraft for it’s traveling issues.

He stated that as part of the president’s intention to make traveling issues a thing of the past, the ministry is planning of getting a new aircraft to solve that particular problem.

Mr. Nitiwul’s proposal came after he disclosed the high cost of renting a presidential aircraft for the president’s recent trip to Europe.

Divergent to this initiative, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa has objected to the proposal, indicating the president’s intention to take such an action is not substantial because the cost of renting a presidential aircraft doesn’t matter.
