In regards to failure on part of Ghanaians to fully comply with the payment of the electronic transaction levy which was passed into law by Nana Addo during the month of May 2022, the MP for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai constituency has passed his verdict.
According to the legislator, citizens have sabotage the President’s bid to use revenue generated from the taxation policy to develop the country by blatantly refusing to pay the levy to ensure he accomplishes his mission.
Moving further, Hon. Alfred Boateng said it’s observable the country has less resources and as such the payment of e-levy was certainly a good way of ensuring development in the country.
However, ever since the taxation policy was introduced, Ghanaians have Intentionally stopped performing MOMO transactions results in a drastic reduction in e-levy deductions.
Per his narration, the conscious effort by Ghanaians to desist from making MOMO transactions clearly shows they have betrayed the President.
