To ensure there is adequate preparation for the occurrence of interruption in electricity supply, the regulatory body responsible for the provision of hydro-electric power provides a prior notice to citizens, before the lights go off.
The most recent update from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), indicates certain parts of the Accra community will experience power cut starting from today.

This initiative marks the beginning of a scheduled 16-day power cuts, aimed at ensuring the reconstruction of a section of Ghana Grid Company’s 161kV Winneba to Mallam transmission lines and tie-in, is conducted with ease.
As expected, there are certain areas that will be affected by the situation.

They include Gbawe, Cantonment post office, Haatso, Nima, Roman Ridge, Oblogo, Mataheko, Ashaley botwe old town, Gyaman, North Kaneshie, Weija old barrier, Dansoman control market and East legon.
According reports gathered by Tapnewsgh, the disruption in power supply is expected to end on Friday, 11th June 2021.
