A widely recognized MP affiliated to the National Democratic Congress has asked Ghanaians to brace themselves for more fisticuffs in parliament as the days go by.
The Member of Parliament for the Bongo constituency stated that the parliament is planning on introducing a constitutional instrument that seeks to give power to the Electoral Commission to accept the newly Introduced Ghana Card as the only source document for registration of eligible voters in Ghana.
According to the legislator, such move will be forcefully resisted in a fashion which could be worse than that of the violent f!ght that took place in parliament over the passage of electronic transaction levy bill.
He stated emphatically that a bigger f!ght is yet to be witnessed in parliament as the members of the majority group plan on making the Ghana Card the sole constitutional instrument needed for voter’s registration in the country.
