Ghana To Face South-Africa Again In The 2022 World Cup Qualifiers

After qualifying for next year’s AFCON tournament, the Black Stars will be facing three strong African teams to fight for a place in the upcoming 2022 World Cup tournament which will be hosted in Qatar.

These teams are Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and South-Africa.

Once again they are drawn in the same group as South-Africa.

Looking at the recent updates on match results from Ghana and South-Africa, Ghana doesn’t have a comfortable edge over the South-African national side.

The last time they met, the match ended in a 1-1 draw after Ghana won their home match against South-Africa in the first encounter. This shows the South-African national side have been trying their best to level up with the Ghanaian national side when it comes to match results.

Their next game which will be a world cup qualification match will not be a new story to them at all. With their inability to qualify for this AFCON tournament, they will be looking forward to a successful world cup qualification to bring their supporters joy.

This is one thing the Ghanaian national team should be worried about.

Another troublesome African team Ghana will be facing is Zimbabwe. The last time these two teams met was in the African Cup of Nations tournament in 2006. The third round match ended in a 2-1 scoreline in favor of Zimbabwe.

Aside this scoreline, the Zimbabwean team is one team that usually gives up their best during competitive matches.

Meeting a team like Ghana for a world cup qualification game is going to be a great opportunity for them to make a mark, which means they will do their possible best to show the Ghanaian team how dangerous they are in situations like this.

The third team Ghana will be facing is Ethiopia.

On an average level, the Ghanaians have usually had an upper hand, after scoring the Ethiopian side 2-0 in the 2008 AFCON tournament.

The Ethiopian side is also one country that makes surprising attempts and marks when it comes to competitive matches. They will be doing their best to get their game on, after being humiliated by the Ghanaian team for a long time.

These are some major reasons why Ghana shouldn’t feel comfortable with the world cup qualification group they are drawn in.

All 3 teams are very good and up to the task and therefore should not be taken for granted at all.
