The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu has made an indication that Ghana will be sending some of its trained nurses to the United Kingdom in light of an agreement made between the two nations.
In a recent disclosure made by the Minister, he stated that the state has had a bilateral agreement with the British government to send some its trained nurses to the United Kingdom in exchange for financial assistance and considerations.
According to Hon. Agyeman Manu, the government of Ghana and the United Kingdom are about to enter into an agreement or better still a memorandum after approval from cabinet members in parliament.
The said agreement will see to it that nurses are sent to the United Kingdom to work there and return after three years to ensure Ghana benefits from the little amount of money the UK government will pass on.
