Government Created Over 5 Million Jobs Between 2017 and 2021 – Employment Minister Reveals; See Full Details


The current Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Mr. Baffour Awuah, has stated that the government has created 5,306,899 jobs spanning from 2017 to 2021.

According to Mr. Baffour Awuah, this happens to be analysis on data compiled by the minister from the inputs of various ministries, departments and agencies as well as government flagship programmes.

Speaking at the national launch of the 2022 Ghana Job Fair staged in the Bono region, Mr. Awuah said the government had made tremendous gains in the aspect of job creation after inheriting huge employment from the previous government’s leadership.

The Minister went on to say that jobs created were either formal, informal, permanent, temporary and part-time or full-time.
