The current Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Bagbin has stated that he is the second most powerful gentleman in the country.
According to him, he had the impression he was the third in command when it comes to administrative power.
However, in a recent disclosure made by the head of the judiciary, he was told he was actually the second line of authority according to the laws of the land.
Per his knowledge, the vice president is second in command as per the line of hierarchy in Ghana.
Divergent to this fact, he was told by the judiciary head that all three arms of government have equal authority which makes him the second in command after the President being the head of the legislative arm of government.
That’s to say, he possesses a high level of authority than the current Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
