The current President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo has stated that he is determined to ensure the deteriorating economy of Ghana is brought back to sanity  despite the recent downgrade in credit rating revealed by the Standard & Poor’s (S&P) rating agency not long ago.

According to Nana Addo, though he is clearly aware times are hard, he will ensure the economic downtun in Ghana experiences a major turnaround within a short period of time.

Speaking on a local radio station in the Northern Region of Ghana, the President urged citizens to have confidence in him because he wants to minimize the difficulties that have constricted the standard of living of Ghanaians.

His comments came after the international credit rating (S&P) downgraded the foreign and local credit rating of Ghana from a B-B’ to CCC+C coupled with a negative outlook on the Ghanaian economy.
