The former Manchester United skipper has expressed regrets for choosing to join the French national team when he could have played for the Senegalese national team based on nationality preference.
In a recent interview monitored by Tapnewsgh, Patrice Evra revealed that he born in Dakar, the capital town of Senegal. However, he moved to France where he grew up to take up his football career.
Explaining further, he confessed that if he could turn back time, he would have opted to play for represent Senegal instead of France.
Proving reasons for his confession, Evra said one painful lesson he learnt while playing for the French national team was that, when he plays well and the team wins, he is celebrated as a French. Divergent to this fact, if the team loses, he is singled out and chastised as a Senegalese.
