Increase Tax Revenue, Ghana Is Broke – Joe Jackson To Nana Addo

A financial analyst named Joe Jackson has encouraged the current President to increase tax revenue because it is only strategy that can salvage the situation.

According to Joe Jackson, Ghana spends fifty percent of its revenue on interest payment and fifty-five percent on salaries.

In relation to this, he made clear that introducing a 1.75 percent which covers mobile money payments and other monetary transactions is a step in the right direction.

The proposed e-levy will take effect from February 1 2022 if it is approved by parliament.
