There have been so many chants on the disapproval of the payment of salaries to the current first lady and her deputy.
The new side of the story has to do with former president John Dramani Mahama.

Mr. Mahama said the government’s decision to forcefully include the first and second lady in the payment of salaries, is not in accordance with Article 71 of the Ghanaian constitution.
He therefore debunked the decision and said it is an illegitimate way to get the wives of the president and his vice into the payroll of the government.
