Just In: Communications Minister Extends SIM Re-registration Deadline For Non-resident Ghanaians; See When And Why


The current Minister for Communication and Digitalization, Hon Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has issued a new notice on the update of SIM re-registration for non-resident Ghanaians.

According to the Honorable Minister, citizens of Ghana who are not resident in the nation have from now till the end of December 2022 to update details pertaining to their SIM cards.

Per her narration, citizens will be required to provide this update using their passports and as such they can use this International document to complete the registration process.

She stated emphatically that, non-resident Ghanaians who have not yet received their Ghana cards can use their passports to complete the registration process for the time being. However, they will be required to update their details as soon as they lay hands on their Ghana Card.
