Information gathered by Tapnewsgh indicates the Ghana Education Service will be introducing a new procedure for verification of schools selected by junior high school leavers who sat for the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
As such, the yet to be released school placement will begin with the placement verification procedure, one which will see to it that students verify their school choices before placement is out
In a recent statement issued by the Head of the Public Relations Unit of the Ghana Education, Madama Cassandra Twum, she made it clear the newly introduced verification process will be made accessible to ensure there is extreme accuracy in information that has to do with choices of schools made by students ahead of their placement into the diverse senior high schools.
This verification process is already underway and it began on Saturday, 14th January, 2023 and is expected to come to a successful end on Sunday 22nd January, 2023.
Per the national coordinator of the Computerized Senior School Selection Placement System (CSSPS), this newly introduced procedure has no aim of changing schools selected by candidates.
Divergent to the aforementioned premise, it is just a rollout designed to aid students in confirmation of schools they’ve already selected in order to prevent any irregularities.
