The Government of Ghana, through the assistance of the Ministry of Education, has released an amount of Ghc126,000,000 for feeding students in state regulated senior high schools.
The aforementioned amount released will cover non-performance food items to the National Food Buffer Stock Company.
Furthermore, an amount of Ghc72,106,603 has been released by the Ministry of Education to all senior high school and TVET schools following the erratic supply of food items in some senior high schools in Ghana.
The said Ghc72,106,603 is expected to cover perishable food items as well as recurring expenditures that have to with provision of food to the various senior high schools in the country.
In line with the funds released by the state, the Education Ministry assured its commitment towards ensuring the timely supply of sufficient and top-notch food items to all second cycle institutions in Ghana.
