The Commissioner General Of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Reverend Owusu Asamoah, has indicated that management of the revenue authority is planning on the introduction of an 8% tax levy, on the amount of money received by landlords for renting out rooms.
He said the initiative is in alignment with the laws of the country hence it will be implemented before the year ends.

Rev. Owusu made it clear that, failure to comply with the yet to be introduced regulation will attract a 125% penalty of the actual rent money, compounded on a monthly basis.
