The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has come out to state that it has foreknowledge on the varrying degree of examination malpractices that is going on in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
As the paramount senior high school examination eats into its fifth week of duration, the examination council has stated that there are some inspection on students have been obstructed with others cases of impersonation and phone smuggling being recognized.
WAEC also made indications that some school authorities have equally cultivated the habit of collecting money from students to organize syndicate cheating during the examination.
In a statement issued by the educational council, it was stated clearly that they have the authority to derecognize any school caught in the issue of malpractices.
According to WAEC, they have zeroed in on some malpractices hotspots and are as such they are intensifying the monitoring of these hot zones.
