Over the past few years, Kuami Eugene has spoken about how his mother played an integral role in his upbringing right from his early childhood.
According to Kuami, he was literally disowned by his father because of his recalcitrant lifestyle during his childhood.
He said at an early age, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an influential musician in future but his father felt his ambition wouldn’t materialize so he decided to disown because he had chosen a different a different path to success.
Throughout his torment and tribulations while fighting to become the star that he is now, his mother stood by him both physically and spìrìtually.
After Kuami gained admission into senior high school, he was expelled after administration of the school caught him being billed for a show in town of which they had no idea of prior to the program.
In relation to this, he changed school because the terms on which he was expelled was unfavorable for him and his mother.
He was later sent to another senior high school to complete his secondary education.
After completing his secondary education, his mother kept fighting for him through thick and thin which materialized after he was given the opportunity to participate in the famous reality show named MTN Hitmaker.
After MTN Hitmaker, he was signed by Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment record label and that was where he got his major breakthrough.

His first song from the label was titled Ebeyeyie. After Ebeyeyie, he released two collaborations with the then Lynx Entertainment signee, Mzvee which made waves as expected.
However, a few months after he got his major breakthrough through the famous love song titled “Angela”.
After a few weeks of Angela’s release, it had clocked one million views in one week and was banging in almost every club.
In one of Kuami Eugene’s recent songs titled Mama, he commended his mother for standing by him through thick and thin.
