Let Us Enact Laws That Will [email protected] With LGBTQ! Issues – Joyce Bawah
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, an aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, has called for some legislation that will deal permanently with issues relating to the L€[email protected], [email protected], Bi-$exual, [email protected]€nd€r, Qu€€r and Inter$€x issues (LGBTQ!+) in the country.
According to her, the LGBTQ!+ issue has been overlooked for too long, and this is the time for Ghana to clearly indicate its stance.

“I think it is time for us to stop paying lip-service to that matter. It is time for the executive, legislature, and key stakeholders to come together and find a way to put this matter to sleep” she said.
She further added that, the Cr!m!nal Off€nce Act, 1960 (Act 29) section which frowns on [email protected] [email protected] knowl€dge is not “[email protected] in ir0n”.
