The majority leader of parliament, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has finally admitted the former President, John Dramani Mahama had a hand in the alleviation of load shedding which is popularly nicknamed “Dumsor”.
In a recent disclosure made by the NPP bigwig, he indicated that the former President helped Ghana out of the period of disrupted power supply through the acquisition of thermal plants which contributed to the stabilization of electricity supply to the country.
Explaining further, he stated with emphasis that the thermal plants came at a very high cost which the current government is still grappling with.
Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu made it clear that, though the thermal plants were too expensive, its procurement happens to be one major reason why the country is not experiencing any issue of load shedding at the moment.
