The Grande finale of the much anticipated UEFA Champions League tournament went down a few hours ago.

The match which was played between Manchester City and Chelsea saw the ‘blues’ lifting the ultimate trophy.

After this amazing news, the goalkeeper of the Chelsea football club has become an outstanding record maker.

The Senegalese international is now the first African goalkeeper to lift a Champions League trophy on the international front.

Mendy was a dedicated goalkeeper who featured in a lot of Premier league matches for the Liverpool football club, before moving to Chelsea.

Aside lifting the ultimate trophy, he is also one of the few goalkeepers to have played in the UEFA Champions League finals since 1985.
