The Argentinian captain has made a new record after scoring three goals for his team in yesterday’s World Cup qualification match against Bolivia.

He is now the leading goal scorer for the South American international men’s football terrain.

Messi made this record after scoring a hatrick in yesterday’s qualifiers against Bolivia. Currently, he has a total of 79 international goals in 153 games.

This indicates he has been able to break World Pele’s all time record. Pele held the record of being the only player in South America to score 77 goals in 92 games.
