MMDCE: Women Need To Show Interest In Politics – Dan Botwe Replies Crìtìcs


The Member of Parliament for the Okyere constituency, Hon. Dan Kweku Botwe has replied crìtìcs on the recent concerns raised on the number of female politicians selected during the recent MMDCE appointment.

According to the legislator, women have not shown much interest or proved themselves worthy in terms of taking up political leadership roles.

He said if we take the assembly level positions as an example, we will realize a lot of women barely contest for the position of Assemblywoman.

According to him, the lack of interest exhibited by these female politicians is one reason why there are few ladies in government offices.

He urged ladies to come out in their numbers whenever there is a competition for political leadership.

Per his narration, this is the only way they can be recognized and considered in situations like this.
