The Special Prosecutor who currently operates under Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has reportedly decided to drag an former appointee under the Nana led administration to court over claims of fund embezzlement.
It’s reported that the accused had made over 14.8 million Ghana cedis with the two-year period he was appointed unde Nana Addo’s government.
According to reports, different amounts of money were identified in different accounts by this appointee. In view of this, popular Ghanaian journalist, Manasseh Azure stated that the politician named Mr. Agyenim Boateng were awarded contracts to themselves which is something that goes contrary to the public procurement act of Ghana.
He reiterated that, as the head of the Public Procurement Authority, he was captured by Mr. Manasseh Azure taking bribes to catalyze the awarding of contract to himself.
