A leading member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Amoako Baah has accused Nana Addo of corrupting the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the NPP associate, Nana Addo asked the Managing Director of the IMF to declare that challenges pertaining to the economic crisis in Ghana were influenced by the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic and not the policies of the country.
In a recent statement sighted by Tapnewsgh, Dr. Amoako slammed the IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva for heeding to the demands of the President in his recent remarks on the Ghanaian economy and it’s true cause.
Explaining further, he indicated that he can venture to say the President must have appealed to IMF for financial aid in dispelling the fact that his country is experiencing economic challenges due to mismanagement, thievery and high level of incompetence.
However, it is inappropriate for the IMF Managing Director to say that a country struggling to find its feet in the economic trend is safe and sound.
Per Dr. Amoako’s sentiments, making such a statement is irresponsible because it doesn’t the government accountable for the mismanagement of the economy.
