According to Mr. Richard Manuribe, all the NPP wants is the downfall of John Dramani Mahama.
Per his sentiments, people from the ruling party have always wanted John Mahama to fail in every political journey he embarks on.

During his disclosure, he cited John Mahama’s recent “thank you” tour as an example.
Mr. Manuribe said he is aware members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) don’t want Mahama to succeed in whatever he is doing. However, he is sorry to disappoint them.
