Information gathered by Tapnewsgh indicates the Auditor General has released a list of the latest ghost names which forms part of unidentified individuals taking monthly income of 1,112,000 and over.
According to the information publicized, non of these ghost names had their personal details traced. Also, there were no taxes levied on their incomes yet they have receivable accounts that have been receiving salary since 2020.
Amazingly, these individuals had not performed any assignments for the Finance Ministry but were receiving money as though they were enrolled on the payroll as workers.
One ghost name that caught the attention of the Auditor General was one Habibu Adam, a parliamentary candidate who is aspiring to be an MP for the Tamale North constituency on the ticket of the NPP.
Astonishingly, Mr. Habibu Adam has been receiving almost Gh¢4,000,000 from the Ministry of Finance when she is not yet a parliamentarian neither a working staff for the Finance Ministry.
After the information got into the public terrain, some infuriated Ghanaians asked that the Nsawam Prisons be expanded because such an act of criminology shouldn’t be left to go unpunished.
