The final contest for the Eastern regional championship competition went down a few hours ago and it’s safe to say there was something to talk about in the final contest.
At the Grande Finale of this year’s regional contest for the Eastern zone, the schools that made it to the final lap were Mpraeso SHS, Aburi Presby SHTS and St. Peter’s Senior High School.
The competition happens to be one of the most tensious regional finals ever witnessed. After a series of back and forth in the four round competition, there was nothing to separate Mpraeso and St. Peter’s SHS as they both drew level with 42 points apiece I’m the dying minutes of the challenge.
After two strong tie-breaker questions, St. Peter’s SHS prove their worth by beating Mpraeso SHS pushing them up with a 45 point lead as against Mpraeso’s 42 points.
The lead indicates the boys from St. Peter’s are regional champions for the second consecutive time after winning it last year.
