Police Officers Who Die On Duty Will Be Replaced By Relatives Who Qualify For Recruitment – IGP Dampare Gives Reason For New Directive; Check Details


The current Inspector General of Police, IGP George Dampare has issued a new directive on the replacement of Ghanaian Police officers who die on duty.

According to the IGP, henceforth, any police officer who dies on duty will be replaced by any of his relatives who qualifies for recruitment into the Ghana Police Force.

Explaining further, the IGP said this new directive has been made to encourage  officers serving under the Ghana Police Force to give off their best while serving the nation.

Speaking in a recent public lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), IGP Dampare said his vision is to make the Ghanaian Police Force one of the most efficient institutions in Ghana irrespective of the challenges the national security department has been confronted with recently.
