After switching nationality to play for the Black Stars of Ghana, Inaki Williams has been accorded a fair share of playtime as he was offered the opportunity to play full time in Ghana’s recent pre-World Cup friendly against Nicaragua.
In a recent disclosure made by the Athletico Bilbao attacker, he stated that Ghana being an underdog ahead of the World Cup is very good because the team is very powerful which makes it easier for them to surprise any team they face in the tournament.
According to Inaki, he has been monitoring the Black Stars over the past few years and was seriously heartbroken when Asamoah Gyan missed the all important penalty against Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup.
Explaining further, he said he was sad to witness such a miss because he lived through that particular World Cup and was highly involved with Ghana.
