The NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has made a belittling statement to NDC associates in the Greater Kumasi region and it happens to be one pronouncement most of his colleagues in opposition will be highly infuriated about.
According to Wontumi, indigenes of the Ashanti region who support the NDC are seen as villagers within the Ashanti region and its environs.
Adding to his assertion, he made it clear that no correct rich man living in the Greater Kumasi region who will be happy to support the highest opposition party, the NDC.
He stated emphatically that, in the Ashanti region where he comes from, people don’t rally behind the NDC in support and as such any rich man from Kumasi who supports NDC is perceived to be a villager.
Mr. Wontumi at the later parts of his disclosure, said according where he was born, he is a full-time NPP member and that is what he will continue to be till death.
