SHS Placement List To Be Released This Sunday
The SHS Placement of recent JHS leavers is one issue that has been pending for sometime now.
The situation has gotten so many students and their families in a pensive mood.
Finally, the good news JHS leavers across the country have patiently been waiting to hear is here.
Barring any last-minute hitches, this year’s schools placement list will be released on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
This was hinted by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa.
The placement will cover private and public school candidates who took part in 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination, as well as other re-entrants.
In total, about 525,000 eligible BECE candidates will be seeking placement into 721 senior high schools across, technical and vocational schools of their choices, which have declared about 535,000 vacancies.
The placement was delayed due to the recent spike in the pandemic which caused the close down of almost every school across the country.
Looking at the time the placement of students is expected to be out, the academic calendar for the new SHS entrants is likely to change.
The change effected will surely affect examination schedules, and vacation periods for various senior high schools.
