SHS Re-opening: Parents Can’t Visit Their Children – GES
Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa has indicated parents will not be allowed to visit their children after schools have began studies.
Prof. Opoku Amankwa urged parents to provide their wards with all necessary items they will require, before allowing them to go to campus.

He indicated once they enter their various senior high schools, there is no way parents can reach out to their children personally.
All Ghanaian Senior High Schools will reopen on Wednesday, March 10.

Form 1 single track, Form 2 gold and Form 3 single track students, fall under the category of SHS students who will be resuming on Wednesday.
In an interview sighted by Tapnewsgh, Prof. Opoku Amankwa said the directive is that they can’t visit their children.

He made it clear parents are allowed to send their children to school.
However, they are not permitted to visit them, after they have safely placed them under the care of the school authorities.

Prof. Opoku Amankwah also advised parents to ensure their children follow the COVID-19 safety measures, both in and out of the school premises.
