Sonnie Badu Wants Afriyie Barnieh Named In Black Stars World Cup Squad; See Reason


Multiple award-winning Ghanaian Gospel singer, Sonnie Badu is requesting for the inclusion of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the final list of Black Stars players who will be moving to Qatar for the upcoming World Cup.

Undoubtedly, Afriyie Barnieh has been a standout player for both Accra Hearts of Oak and the Black Galaxies inferring from the goals he has been able to net within a very short period of time.

Though he was part of the players offered Black Stars call-up during the  Pre-World Cup friendly between Ghana and Brazil as well as Nicaragua, the striker hasn’t enjoyed quality play time with the senior national team of Ghana.

It is in view of this factuality that Sonnie Badu shared an Instagram post suggesting Barnieh is offered the chance to join the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
