Hon. John Kumah has blamed the former President for his inability to supervise the country’s debt management when he was voted into power.
According to the deputy Finance Minister, Ghana’s bank reserve was estimated at $4.5 billion when Mahama was in power.
However, under the current leadership of Nana Addo’s government, the amount has risen to an estimated figure of $11 billion.
When asked why the country’s debt has risen at such a high rate, he answered by saying most of the debt we are facing now was the handiwork of Mahama.
Per his disclosure, John Mahama failed to manage the debt of the country efficiently which is one major reason why the NPP has been confronted with such a huge amount of debt after the NDC government left the office of authority.
