The Ghanaian Movie Industry Needs Action, Not Prayers – Bishop Agyin Asare Reveals

The founder of Perez Chapel International has indicated that the problem facing Ghana’s movie industry has nothing to do with spirituality.

Bishop Agyin said for some time now, the inception of telenovelas has made the Ghanaian movie industry a redundant one.

He added that, in every country, the storyline portrayed in movies gives an account of the lifestyle of citizens.

However, the situation in Ghana in different because what we see on TV nowadays doesn’t reflect our culture and lifestyle.

In conclusion, he blamed the media industry for showing numerous foreign movies, instead of our locally made films, and stated that, the only way this problem can be solved is by promoting many local movies using our television platforms.
