There Is No Way ‘Dumsor’ Is Coming Back – Energy Minister Explains Why; See Full Story


The current Energy Minister, Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has assured Ghanaians that there is no way citizens are going to revisit the dark days of constant load shedding.

His comments came after the former Minister for Power, Dr. Kwabena Donkor made it clear Ghana could go back to the previous days of frequent power outages in electricity.

A few days ago, Dr. Donkor stated that the amount of hydroelectric power that needs to be added to the generated reserve is high insufficient and as a result of that the country could plunge into it dark days of ‘dumsor’ if care is not taken.

In response to this disclosure by the former Minister for Power, the current Minister of Energy made it known that in relation to the forecasted demand and efficient management of the energy sector, he and his team is confident there is no way Ghanaians will be retarded back to the inconveniences caused by the issue of ‘dumsor’.
