The former President has stated that he had his own dose of the punitive measures metted out by the National Communications Authority (NCA) even though he had fully re-registered his SIM.
According to John Mahama, his SIM was bløcked consequently for a period of two days and that prevented him from making calls for a period of two days.
He revealed this was in spite of the fact that he together with all members of his staff had fully re-registered their SIM cards prior to the notice and implementation of the punitive measures for unregistered SIM card owners.
In a recent interview monitored by Tapnewsgh, Mr. Mahama said it was problematic for the National Communications Authority (NCA) and other regulatory bodies to implement punitive measures against persons who have been unable to re-register their SIMs through no fault of theirs.
