This Is The Reason Why Guru Recorded A “Diss” Song For Kuami Eugene
The sudden beef between the young hip life act Kuami Eugene, and one of Ghana’s greatest hip life acts Guru, is gradually getting intense.
Fans said what they had to say regarding the beef, and when we thought things had gone down with the two artists, Guru took the beef to another level, by getting into the recording booth to record a ”diss” song for the young hi life act.

In the “diss” song recorded by Guru, he attacked Kuami Eugene is so many ways.
He made mention of Kuami Eugene disgracing his mum, and went ahead saying Kuami had declared his own mum an “ashawo” in other words “a prostitute”.

This was very disrespectful and defamatory from Guru, looking at the reputation Kuami Eugene has built and the respect people have for Guru as well.
In the song, he also mentioned Kuami Eugene’s alleged real name, Francis Kofi Boakye and added that, one hit song from him (Guru) is bigger than Kuami Eugene’s entire career. This is also another attack on Kuami’s brand as an artist.
Guru is from Darkuman, which is very close to Kuami Eugene’s hood Fadama.

In the later parts of the song titled “Who Born Dog”, Guru said they are all from neighboring communities, so he doesn’t understand why they cannot come together as friends or brothers.
After throwing all these jabs in one song, one thing that surprises me is the fact that, Guru acknowledged they were both from neighboring towns and because of that, they have to stay united.
Why will he start dissing Kuami Eugene from the beginning of his “diss’’ song, and conclude by saying they have to come together.

Under rational conditions, you don’t fight with one hand and make peace with the other.
This simply means he is indirectly calling upon Kuami Eugene for a collaboration, when he knows perfectly well they are not in good terms.
For a huge branded artist like Guru to enter the booth to record a “diss” song for a singer like Kuami Eugene, is something that is not usually witnessed in Ghanaian music.

Rappers usually get into beefs with their fellow rappers.
Guru deciding to beef Kuami Eugene simply shows he wants to revive his career.
We all know currently Guru is not as hot as Kuami Eugene, hence Guru trying to do something that will bring Kuami Eugene to the spotlight, is definitely going to give him(Guru) attention to release “bangers” that will capture the attention of numerous music lovers.
From my point of view, Guru only recorded that song for hype and nothing else.
