VGMA 21: Sarkodie, Medikal, Kidi And Kuami Eugene Clash In This Year’s Artist Of The Year Category
The VGMA selection of listed nominees for 2021 had so many surprise acts joining the list of categories.
Some new young acts who made it to the list of nominations were Yaw Tog, Kweku Flick, Bosom Pyung, Mr. Drew and Dead Pepol.
Amongst all nominations, one of them has stood out as the most relevant nomination list since the award ceremony started in the early parts of the 20th century. The most talked about category is the Artist of the year category.

Today, we will be looking at all the artists who were lucky to be part of this year’s Artist of the year category.
The first and highly acknowledged amongst them is Sarkodie. It is very clear he is the only artist amongst this year’s nominees, who have been nominated for this category for close to five years now.
Sarkodie got into this year’s category once again. He stands tall as one artist who is a favorite for this year’s ultimate award.

The only gospel female artist in this year’s category is Diana Hamilton. Diana is one female lyricist who has really stayed on top of her game, when it comes to the release of heartwarming gospel songs.
She is in the category hoping to beat competition from other Ghanaian artist who have equally worked hard over the past year.
Medikal, the ‘Borla Bird’ hitmaker also got into this category and is known to have made it into the nomination list, due to the hard work he put into his music career last year.

3 Muzik Artist of the year award winner, Kidi is also in this year’s category. This is the first time he is making it into the category. Judging from his recent success in the 3 Muzik awards ceremony, he is one Artist a lot of music lovers will be watching out for.
Talking about new entrants, Adina also falls in the category of artists who have been nominated for the first time in this particular category.
She is a very talented female artist and her melodious songs show she deserves to be in this year’s category.
Kuami Eugene also got into this year’s category.

He is in this year’s category hoping to defend his title, after winning the award for that category in the previous edition of the award program.
