WASSCE 2022: WAEC Cancels Entire Results Of 518 Candidates, More Than 100 Results Withheld; See Why


Information gathered by Tapnewsgh indicates the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has publicly announced the cancellation of the entire results of some candidates who sat for the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Out of the total 422,883 candidates who sat for the 2022 WASSCE examination, the subject results of 3,845 candidates have been cancelled based on the issues concerning the introduction of foreign materials into the examination hall.

Furthermore, the entire results of 518 candidates have equally been cancelled in line with their decision to enter the examination hall with mobile phones, one act that is considered a huge offense by WAEC.

In line with these numerous cancellation of results, WAEC has withheld the entire WASSCE results of some 117 candidates who sat for the exam as the West African examination body draws conclusions on investigations into alleged cases of impersonation detected during the time of the examination.
