The Electricity Company Of Ghana(ECG) has warned to stay from illegal acts that disrupt the supply of electricity to the public.
According to the ECG, desisting from engaging in illegal electricity connection will ensure the reduction of losses so they can serve customers the best way.
In a recent disclosure made by the manager in charge of external communications at the ECG, Mr. Charles Nii Ayiku, he stated clearly that the ECG needs to work on their lines to ensure customers are happy and in doing so, they need to work hard to get offenders in order to get revenue for their work.
Moving further, he entreated citizens to stay as watchdogs to enable them identify and sanction consumers who willfully engage in the Illegal electricity connections.
Adding to this, Mr. Ayiku said they will not hesitate to give citizens who report culprits some percentage of the money retrieved from the illegality as ‘commission’.
