The former MP for the Okaikwei South constituency has made a very interesting comment that brings us back to the reason why C.K Akonnor was sacked as head of coach of the Black Stars.
According to him, he sees no reason why Coach Akonnor should be sacked in the middle of a World Cup qualification tournament.
He made it clear that, sacking the coach at a time like this, is not the right thing to do. However, he feels the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has its own reason for taking such an action.
Explaining further, he cautioned the GFA not to go in for a foreign coach because it is one thing that has been a psychological breakdown and a disgrace to the country’s football terrain.
He said if a new coach should be appointed, then it should be a local coach.
Do you agree with him?
